Mission Statement

As a Church we see our Mission in the following ways:

1) To offer a warm welcome to all who come to Church.

2) To witness to Jesus love in all we do.

3) To be a church family, open to all ages.

4) To make good use of our premises for the community.

5) To share in worship and witness with local churches.

Description

Our Church is a very loving Church and everyone is made welcome. Mainly an elderly congregation with a few members in the 30-60's age range. We have a Sunday School with 12 members aged between 2 and 15 years.

Each Sunday morning:
10.00am Service.
   There is a Sunday School
 
6:00pm Service.

 

 

Hymnbooks and Other Worship Resources

We mainly use 'Hymns And Psalms', but 'Mission Praise' is being used more and more. We also have 'Partners In Praise'. used very occasionally.;

 

 

Preferred Style of Worship

Traditional.

Occasionally, about five or six times a year, our Fellowship Group leads and arranges services. Once a month we alternate evening services with our local Anglican Chrch, St. Bartholomew's.

 

 

Congregation Size

In the morning from 30 to 40; in the evenings 12 to 18.

 

 

Other Activities:

       
Thursdays evening House Group For children 3-12 - many with no other church contact.
Fridays evening Friday Nighters For prayer and Bible study. In Lent this becomes interdenominational.
Thursdays in Summer 2.30pm Bright Hour  About sixteen members.
1st Friday each month   Coffee Morning  Fair Trade goods are also for sale.
2nd Tuesday each month 7:30pm Time Out  A social evening for with a speaker.

 

 

Other Information:

Our premises are used by other organisations in the village:

the Parish Council, the Women's Institute, and aerobics class, etc.

We join in with St Bartholomew's with 'Home 2 Help' - practical christianity. This group drives people to hospital, doctors, dentists etc., and takes people shopping - as well as offering a listening ear.

We are a member of Cam & Dursley District Churches Together and take part in their four joint services each year.
