The Circuit will initiate, encourage, support and co-ordinate its local churches in regular worship of God, spreading the Gospel of Christ, growth in faith and caring and effective Christian service in local communities |
The Church was built in 1901 and we celebrated its Centenary in 2001. Attached to the Church is the Sunday School built in 1969.
Cashes Green began as a village near but very distinct from Stroud; but over time Stroud has spread almost up to it, and since the war, Cashes Green itself has expanded with many new housing estates.
The chapel is on the edge of the old village, but only separated from new housing by a small open space.

Books available are 'Hymns & Psalms' and 'Mission Praise'.
Around 12.
We have approx. 10 children ranging in ages 5 to 13 who form Sunday Bunch; they meet once every 2 weeks. Alternate weeks the children meet for craft work.
The second & fourth Wednesdays of the month, a meeting called The Happy Hour is held at 2.30pm in the School Room.
The first Wednesday of each month there is a meeting of Young Wives in the School Room at 7.30pm.

we are predominately an age group ranging from the 70's to the mid 90's. This obviously limits the activities of our Church compared with those Church's with a much younger membership.
The pews were recovered a few years ago and replaced with 60 comfortable chairs. A speaker system for the deaf is installed and the internal and external fabric of the Church is in good order.
We are a member of Stroud Churches together.
