The Circuit will initiate, encourage, support and co-ordinate its local churches in regular worship of God, spreading the Gospel of Christ, growth in faith and caring and effective Christian service in local communities |
To serve Jesus Christ in our community and the wider world by:
| Communicating His message in word and deed. | |
| Worshipping God. | |
| Growing in faith. | |
| Showing care, friendship and love. | |
| Supporting and encouraging each other. |
To accomplish all this through prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit.
The congregation is of mixed age with babies, children, teenagers, adults of various ages and older people. Most are of a non-Methodist background. The church currently has a full time church worker and there are many activities.

Eastington Methodist Church has grown in recent years and has developed a series of activities designed to spread the Good News of Jesus into the community it serves. The low membership figure is deceptive as many of the congregation are not members and the reluctance of some to become so is caused by a lack of confidence in the Methodist Denomination to hold fast to the truths in God's Word.
There is now a very active childrens and youth work in the church which has started to attract families.
The greatest joy any church can have is to see people being saved and won for Christ - this is what we want to see in Eastington.
The church has a full time Church Worker, John Hookins, who is 2 years into a 3 year term with us.
The church is also trying to extend its influence to the adjacent growing village of Whitminster about 2 miles away. Its Methodist Chapel closed in the 1960s and there is no church located within the village itself.
